Job summary

The teacher will equip students with essential digital skills, computational thinking abilities, creativity, and responsible technology use in line with the vision and values of Al-Faizun Academy.

Responsibilities

  • Teach Digital Technologies according to the Nigerian curriculum and school scheme of work.
  • Prepare detailed lesson plans, lesson notes, practical activities, and digital instructional materials before each lesson.
  • Conduct practical computer laboratory sessions and ensure students gain hands-on experience with digital tools and software.
  • Prepare examination questions, marking guides, and report card comments.
  • Maintain the computer laboratory, digital devices, and instructional technology resources, and report technical faults promptly.
  • Participate in school assemblies, meetings, training sessions, and extracurricular activities.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to improve curriculum delivery and digital integration across subjects.
  • Uphold the school’s values, code of conduct, and safeguarding policies.

    • Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree (B.Ed., B.Sc. Ed., B.Sc., or HND with PGDE) in Computer Science, Computer
  • Education, Information Technology, Software Engineering, Educational Technology, or a related field.
  • TRCN registration or willingness to obtain it.
  • Familiarity with the Nigerian educational curriculum for Basic and/or Secondary levels.
  • Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
  • Ability to prepare lesson plans, practical activities, and assessments independently.
